It is full of amazing culture, colorful and unique architecture, great shopping on Las Ramblas and nightlife throughout the city and near the popular beaches. You'll never run out of things to see and do!

Our is School is located on a main street in "El Barrio Gothico" beside the famous Gaudi Cathedral. It is a short walk from the well-known "Las Ramblas" district, a wonderful, vibrant part of the city where street vendors and performers vie for your attention. Las Ramblas is a tree-lined pedestrian thoroughfare, which runs from Barcelona's port, and is a major attraction. Here you might encounter spray-paint artists, Flamenco dancers, guitarists or buskers. There is also the open pet market with exotic birds, lizards, and other animals.

Our school occupies the 2nd and 3rd floor of a beautiful, newly renovated building, (said to be the first building erected on the street). You can see from the photo gallery, the school offers a bright, modern atmosphere with new furnishings, facilities and computers.

Host Family: (private room only, 1 or 2 meals daily)
Living with a local host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. Many families live near the school and the commute is usually no more than 20-30 minutes.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room)
Apartments are also located about 20-30 minutes away from the school and are shared with other international students. Apartments are co-ed, however, bedrooms are same-gender. The apartments always include a well-equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom and living areas. The apartments vary in location, size and number of bedrooms, but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.

Residence: (private or shared room, no meals)
Our fully furnished, modern residences are a short walk from the school. Our residences are co-ed, however bedrooms are shared with the same gender and with other students on our Spanish program. Students share kitchens and a cleaning service is included. The residence also offers internet access.

STUDENT FEEDBACK

"I loved my experience abroad in Barcelona.

I learned so much about the Spanish culture, life and language, but most importantly I learned about myself. My trip to Barcelona was much more than just about learning Spanish...

I was able to travel around Spain and other countries in Europe and gained a sense of self.I am glad that I had the chance to meet the teachers, other students, and some of the locals and experience this with them. I will never forget the places, the people, or the feelings, and for that I thank Languages Abroad."
Jennifer (age 23)
