Enjoy a Spanish language course in Peru at our language school in the city of Cusco.

Cusco, 3,400 meters above sea level is the most important pre-Columbian metropolis in the Americas and is heir to a cultural tradition developed all over the Peruvian territory since 18,000 B.C.

Cusco is so full of historical gems that the entire city was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also the gateway to one of the most spectacular treks on the planet, the enigmatic Inca Trail and captivating Inca City of Machu Picchu. The best time to hike the Inca Trail is dry season (May - Sept). Its route passes through a 13,000-foot Andean pass beyond which lie some of the most astounding artifacts of the Inca civilization.

Foreign language learning Host Family: (private room) 3 meals daily.

Living with a host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. We get excellent feedback about our Cusco host families and many students say their homestay was the most enriching part of their trip. Many families live near the school and the commute is usually no more than 10-15 minutes.

Foreign language learning STUDENT FEEDBACK

" TRIP REPORT" - Trip report courtesy of Christine from Canada.
________________________________
"Overall my experience studying Spanish through Languages Abroad in Cusco Peru was highly positive.

I studied for 10 weeks and lived with a Peruvian family, which gave me a great insight into the daily life and culture of the Peruvian people. The school also made an effort to arrange varied and interesting activities in the afternoons and weekends.

I would definitely recommend the program to anyone considering studying Spanish in South America. Great - lessons interesting and varied, plus good program of extracurricular acctivities at the school. Family couldn't have been nicer - they made an effort to converse with me and make me feel like a member of the family, food also good and varied.

My accommodation was located within a 10 minute walk of the school, near shops, restaurants, supermarkets, laundry and internet. The family couldn't have been nicer - they made an effort to converse with me and make me feel like a member of the family".

Foreign language learning Arrival airport: LIMA
Most students arrive into Lima (Jorge Chavez International Airport) which is located 16 km Northwest of Lima. Students usually need to stay overnight in Lima to catch an internal flight to Cusco as these flights take place in the morning.

Due to flight times, most students fly into via Lima on the Saturday before classes start, and spend that night in Lima. We provide a Lima Travel Package which includes: transfer from the Lima airport to a local hotel, one night hotel stay, transfer back to the airport in the morning and the connecting flight to Cusco. We suggest you book this at the time of enrollment (or min. 3 weeks before your start date).

Foreign language learning Health notes:
It is important to note that most students that visit Cusco will probably experience some kind of altitude sickness (Cusco is 3,400 meters above sea level) for the first 1 or 2 days, until your body adjusts. This is normal and tablets can be taken to help control your sickness.

Foreign language learning Passports / Visa / Length of stay: It is the participant's responsibility to have a valid passport and any necessary visas and permits to study abroad.

Visit G3Visas for comprehensive information on visa, passport, permit and general country entry requirements.
