WHAT WE LIKE - Key features of this program
(Southern Spain)- A lively university town situated among snow-covered mountains, famous for the Alhambra palace, one of the seven wonders of the world. Plenty of terrace & tapas bars with live music etc. Medium sized school, in the center of the historical part of the city with 9 modern classrooms.

Enjoy a Spanish language course in Spain at our language school in the city of Granada.

Granada is a scenic city at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, a relic of a thousand and one nights. A lively university city with about 60,000 students, it has a vibrant nightlife.

The warmest coast in Europe, the "Costa Tropical" can be reached within 55 minutes. The highest mountain of the Iberian peninsula is also at an arm's distance. Granada, the cradle of the most diverse cultures, was always a beloved city.

The majesty of the Alhambra palace dominates the city. The Albaicin, the gypsies' quarter, the Sacromonte with the rebuilt small pubs and Flamenco stages are all witness to a lively past.

SCHOOL FACILITIES
9 modern classrooms, common room, a study hall equipped with Internet and e-mail access, computer lab, reading room and a well equipped library and video library. A small vending and snack machine offers refreshments, drinks and snacks - capacity is 130 students per day.

Host Family: (private or shared room - 2 meals daily.

Living with a Spanish host family is probably the best and most effective way to become fully immersed into the language and culture of your chosen country.

All families are chosen after a careful selection procedure and are visited regularly by the school to ensure that high living standards are maintained. As many of our host families live in the surrounding neighborhoods, the trip to school, is usually not more than 10 to 20 minutes away.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room - no meals)

This is also a very popular option especially for those students looking for further independence. Our apartments are normally located within the same distance as the host families (many are closer) and are shared (with other international students studying at the school). Our apartments are co-ed, however rooms are shared with the same gender.

All apartments provide a well equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom facilities and living areas. The apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, depending on the location in the city but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.

It is the participant's responsibility to have a valid passport and any necessary visas and permits to study abroad. Visit G3Visas for comprehensive information on visa, passport, permit and general country entry requirements.

There are few scheduled international flights to Granada and many students fly into Málaga international airport and take the bus to Granada. Granada has good rail links to Madrid, Málaga, Ronda and Valencia.

"Upon arriving in Granada, I was a little intimidated. This modern city was not what I expect Andalusia to be like. But I quickly adjusted and found the Spain I had imagined within the old town.

The city itself is a real contrast between the old and new and there is something for everyone. I found myself in the Albayzin district with the Arab merchants most of the time and made some life long friends there.

The city is awake at all hours, Granada is for the young and it is in no way dangerous to go out at night. I have a great time and learned a lot!

Languages Abroad was great, there were no problems whatsoever. It was easy, prompt and satisfied all my needs. I loved my host family. I was very luck to get such a great family. I feel like I have a second mother in Granada. We danced flamenco in the living room, cooked Paella together, and went out at night together. The place was confortable and the food was great".
