WHAT WE LIKE - Key features of this program
Germany’s second largest city & major port, famous for its canals, man made lakes, 1,400 parks & gardens. Large modern school campus

Enjoy a German language course in Germany at our language school in the city of Hamburg.

Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city and lies on the Elbe River, for centuries a major port and trading center for central Europe.

The city has a network of canals that rival those of Venice (it is said to have more bridges than Venice) and is centered on two artificial lakes that take up eight percent of its total area.

Hamburg is known as Germany’s 'green city', sporting 1,400 parks and gardens. Modern buildings sit cheek by jowl with historic Baroque and Renaissance architecture, and by night the neon lights dazzle all-night revelers, particularly in the city’s notorious red light district, the Reeperbahn.

The city center is built around a large lake (Lake Alster) and has classic facades, elegant shopping streets, street cafés, restaurants and grand hotels from the 19th century interspersed with medieval churches.

Host Family: (private room - breakfast / 2 meals daily)

Living with a host family is probably the best and most effective way to become fully immersed into the language and culture of your chosen country.

All families are chosen after a careful selection procedure and are visited regularly by the school to ensure that high living standards are maintained. As many of our host families live in the surrounding neighborhoods, the trip to school, is usually not more than 20 to 30 minutes away.

Students have access to all living areas in the house and in most cases, will be expected to share the bathroom. All bed linens and pillows will be provided, however we suggest you bring your own towels. Your family will provide the use of a washing machine.
