WHAT WE LIKE - Key features of this program
Picturesque, world-famous ski town in the Alps, in the summer a true paradise for hikers & mountaineers. The town & school both offer a true Austrian immersion in a typical Tirol atmosphere. Great both for winter and summer sports!

Enjoy a German language course in Austria at our language school in the city of Kitzbuhel.

Located between Salzburg, Innsbruck and south of Munich, Kitzbühel is a picturesque, world-famous ski town, located in Tirol, one of the most spectacular mountainous regions of Europe. The surrounding majestic mountains (up to 2.363 m) invite hiking in the summer/autumn and skiing in the winter/spring.

This huge resort has 67 lifts and about 250km of prepared pistes and 100km of off-piste slopes. During the summer months, one can conquer the highest mountains or enjoy relaxed hikes across lush green pastures.

The town of Kitzbühel itself is very beautiful and our students spend hours shopping, sitting in sidewalk cafes and admiring the old churches and historic museum. The bars, nightclubs and general après ski atmosphere are also a big attraction year round. The town also boasts a casino, cinema and several sports facilities including golf courses and horseback riding.

SCHOOL FACILITIES
Charming Tirolian house, quaint classrooms, TV room, video, computer and internet access, library, ski rentals and local transport for the students.

Our small quaint school is housed in a typical Tirolian house. Founded in 1981, it is located amidst a quiet garden just a 15 minute walk from the town center.

All amenities are within a short walking distance, including, shops and supermarket, local gym (where students have discounted membership), bank, ATM, (ski) bus stops, restaurants and tennis courts.

In 1990, the school was named "a language school with outstanding merit" by the governmental body, Campus Austria. With more than twenty years of experience, our school has grown in size and reputation but remains charming with a maximum of only 35 international students.

The nearest airport is Innsbruck which has a limited number of international connections. Many students fly into Munich, Germany and catch a train or bus to Innsbruck and then catch a bus to Kitzbuhel, transfer time from Innsbruck approx. 2 hours.

"I had a blast learning German in Kitzbuhel. The only downside was the lack of snow for skiing, but I was told that this year was uncommon and usually they have the best snow around. I met lots of interesting people and fell in love with the culture. Leaving it was really hard, it felt like leaving home and leaving behind my new friends.

Budget your spending needs early in your trip, with different currencies you don't really realize how much you've spent and how much you have left tell your trying to use your credit card for money."
Ron Simon (22), American student

"Being submerged in the culture with few speakers of my native tongue forced me to quickly and effectively learn the German language. Meeting people from all around the world was a rich and fulfilling experience.

Im thinking of returning next year. After four short weeks, it was amazing how easy it was to carry on a conversation, strictly in German, with a total stranger. I really surprised myself and my instructors. The trip was totally worth it. The education can not be bought at any university and the flexibility of the the time spent abroad was also priceless."
Christiane Egbert (23)
