Enjoy a German language course in Germany at our language school in the city of Munich.

Located to the north of the Bavarian Alps, on the River Isar, Munich (München) is a city that combines proud provincialism with international glamour. The citizens of Munich demonstrate a cosmopolitan refinement as well as genuine passion for the region's many traditions. Every year, tourists flock to the city to indulge in debauchery at the world famous Oktoberfest.

The stereotypical images of lederhosen-clad Bavarians quaffing vast portions of beer and sausage might apply at this time, however, with a strong cultural scene, richly endowed art collections and excellent shopping, the city certainly has more to offer than just light entertainment.

Our school is ideally located in the heart of the city center, in a beautifully renovated corner building (originally built in 1688). It is just a short walk to the subway/ public transport, located between the Marienplatz, Karlsplatz and Sendlinger Tor, in the old town of Munich.

The school boasts a lively cafeteria, which is a popular place for students to hang out after or between classes. The school offers a wide range of activities, allowing students to improve their German and make new friends and have fun.

PROGRAM BASICS - Open to all language levels - Unlimited course length - Courses run Monday through Friday (School is closed Saturdays & Sundays) - Max. 12 students per class

Standard: (20 lessons per week)
Intensive: (25 lessons per week)
Combined: (20 lessons + 5 private per week)

The course system contains 6 levels, which are organized according to the examination system of the Goethe Institute. After completion of the basic level, students can acquire the Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache. After completion of the intermediate level, students can acquire the Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung. After the advanced level, students can acquire the Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung.

All students take a short test on the first day to ensure accurate placement. Teachers are native speakers and many are university educated with years of teaching experience. Our program is open to all language levels with strong emphasis on oral communication. In addition to standard materials, teachers may use audio / video equipment, songs and local newspapers to help students learn and make the class more interesting.

After classes are over for the day, our program allows you plenty of time to discover your new country, culture, traditions and everyday life.

Activities could include: visits to Olympia Park complex, museums, galleries, Nymphenburg Palace, football matches, walking tour of Marienplatz (the main pedestrian street), tour the world-famous Hofbräuhaus brewery, Alter Hof (the original royal residence) and much more.

Festivals: 0ktoberfest, the largest beer festival in the world, held in late Sept./ early Oct.

Additional services: Bicycle rentals ($40 per week), local gym membership ($120 per month), lectures at a local German University ($160). The following additional courses are available based upon a minimum of 2 students: Art lessons ($40 per week for 3 lessons) or Dance classes ($60 per week for 3 lessons). All prices are approximate.

Host Family: (private or shared room, 2 meals daily)
Living with a local host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. Many families live near the school and the commute is usually no more than 20-30 minutes.

Self Catering Apartment: (private or shared room)
Apartments are located about 20-30 minutes from the school and are shared with other students. Apartments are co-ed, however, bedrooms are same-gender. The apartments include a well-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom and living areas. They vary in location, size and number of bedrooms, but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students. Apartments are not air conditioned but have fans and will be cleaned once every week. No washing machine is available, however, there is a Laundromat close-by.

Studio Apartments:
This is ideal for mature students or students seeking maximum privacy. We offer bachelor-style apartments, fully equipped with a kitchen, private bathroom and TV. Bed lines are provided and a communal washing machine / Laundromat is available. Studio apartments accessible by public transport and are normally only 2 - 4 subway stops from the school.
