Naples is located on the west coast of Italy, sheltering on the Bay of Naples with the slopes of Mount Vesuvius dominating the city, this is Italy's third largest city!

Love it or hate it, the city thrives on the chaos that prevails amid its busy streets. Roads are characteristically hectic with drivers weaving wildly through the streets and frustrating traffic jams clog the city's arteries.

Noisy markets sell a collection of items from high-quality food produce to fake designer goods. Naples is home to the pizza and its restaurants continue to serve some of Italy's finest cuisine and offers an active nightlife scene.

Naples is a fascinating city and a great base from which to explore the local Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Pompeii is a must, the ancient city, covered by volcanic dust by a volcanic eruption from Mt Vesuvius in AD 79, is most intriguing.

SCHOOL FACILITIES Located in historic center close to University - 8 bright classrooms, social room, free access to computers with high speed internet/e-mail.

Our school is located in the heart of the historical center of Naples, in the university area. Our small school offers a friendly atmosphere were you will become part of the familiar surroundings.

THE BASICS Course for all language levels - set dates for beginners - use of course materials - each student will be expected to take a short placement test on the first Monday morning - lessons are usually held in the mornings starting 09:00am each day - min age 17 - Max. 8 students per class - unlimited course length.

Standard: (20 lessons per week)
Combined: 4 group lessons daily PLUS 1 private lesson daily (25 lessons per week)

These courses take place every month of the year, each course lasts for a duration of 4 weeks, however one, two and three-week enrollments are also accepted. There are seven teaching levels.

Our methodology is based on using only the Italian language during the lessons. Students are stimulated to use Italian and then to reflect and understand the basic structures and grammar knowledge of the language. That will allow them to move the linguistic models already learnt to different situations.

During any lesson great attention is given to the students' necessities and their different ways of learning, so that teachers will use different methods (individual, couple, group levels) and various expressions.

After classes are over for the day, our program includes 2 sessions of socio-cultural information.

Students will receive 2-hour sessions of the following topics:- Italian music - Neapolitan music - The Italian cinema - Eduardo de Filippo and the Neapolitan theatre - The Regions of Italy - Naples: its history and traditions Guided tours of naples and its surrounding (one tour each week) and Italian films (one each week)

Other activities could include:enjoying the great night life and shopping of Napales, walk the Historical center, enjoy the local Neapolitan cuisine. Placesto visit: museums and castles, the Vesuvio, the royal palace of Caserta, Campi Flegrei. At the weekend explore the local Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room)

Our apartments are normally located within 15 - 25 minutes distance to the school and are shared (with other international students). Our apartments are co-ed, however rooms are shared with the same gender.

All apartments provide a well equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom facilities and living areas. The apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, depending on the location in the city but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.

All apartments are self-catering, which means meals are not included and students provide their own groceries and prepare their own meals or eat out. In many cases the cooking becomes a social event in the apartment and a great way to chat and make new friends. Many students have theme nights, where they take turns to prepare a meal from their home country for the rest of the students.
