Enjoy an Italian language course in Italy at our language school in the city of Rome.

Rome is located in the centre of Italy and the sense of history, art and architecture, which the Italian capital oozes, is all embracing. Anarchic traffic, piazzas and fountains, fabulous restaurants and much more make Rome one of the most remarkable cities in the world. The historic city center is quite small and most of the major sights are within a reasonable distance of the central railway station, Stazione Termini. The Vatican is located northwest of the Forum, across the River Tiber. Whether it's history, or humanity, Rome is quite simply a feast for the eye.

Located in the very central Prati district of Rome, our school is surrounded by typical restarurants, shopping streets, beautiful little churches and office builings. The neighborhood is also home to the Astronomical observatory, the Olympic Soccer Stadium and the Foro Italico. Both Villa Borghese and Vatican city are within easy reach.

Our school was founded in 1985 and provides a relaxed atmosphere, where experienced and motivated teachers easily become friends with their students. With its 8 bright classrooms and excellent facilities, our school is also recognized by the Ministry of Public Education in Rome.

PROGRAM BASICS - Open to all language levels - Courses run Monday through Friday (School closed on Saturdays & Sundays) - Unlimited course length - Max. 10 students per class

Standard: (20 lessons per week)
Intensive: (30 lessons per week)
Summer Latin Courses: (20 lessons per week)

Teenager Summer program: for ages 16-18

Teachers are native speakers and many are University educated with years of teaching experience. They will help enhance your speaking, listening, grammar and general comprehension skills by using interactive techniques such as roleplay, games and perhaps videos to support lesson content. Lessons are always conducted in Italian and the school has an excellent selection of audio and videocassettes. For more information please see Course Outline.

After classes are over for the day, our program allows you plenty of time to discover your new country, culture, traditions, customs and everyday life.

Examples of typical cultural opportunities: trips to museums, concerts, theatres, Italian cinema evenings, wine tasting and lectures about the popular traditions and dialects of Rome, Foro Italico, Osservatorio S. Gioacchino, Stadio Olimpico, Villa di Macchia Madama etc.

Possible weekend excursions include: St. Peter's Basilica, Roman Forum, Sistine Chapel & Vatican Museums, Palatine Hill, Capitoline Hill, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc.

Host Family: (private or shared room, 1 or 2 meals daily)
Living with a local host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. Many families live near the school and the commute is usually no more than 20-30 minutes.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room)
Choose between Basic (Apt 1) and Comfort (Apt 2). Apartments are also located about 20-30 minutes away from the school and are shared with other international students. Apartments are co-ed, however, bedrooms are same-gender. The apartments always include a well-equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom and living areas. The apartments vary in location, size and number of bedrooms, but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.

NOTE: The comfort upgrade apartment (apt 2) normally offer greater comfort: a larger apartment, better furnished, perhaps with a balcony, better location, TV, etc.
