San Sebastián, situated just 20 km to from the France border is one of the most fashionable and popular Spanish seaside resorts. It is called officially Donostia-San Sebastián, in Basque is called Donostia, and in Spanish San Sebastián, although many just call it just Donosti. The city is perched on the glittering shores of the Cantabrian Sea and at the base of the majestic Pyrenees Mountains. The city has much to offer apart from its great location by the sea, it has magnificent architecture, chic restaurants on tree- lined boulevards, boutiques, great shops, good nightlife and spectacular beaches boasting plenty of water sports.

Our school is centrally located in " El Barrio Gros" housed in a new modern building and next to a gym where our student card allows discounted membership! Boasting a convenient location, our school is a short walk to the city center, beaches, shops, cafes and Cristina Enea park (with pleasant green spaces and paths).

Our students average 20-35 years old and many are European. The school also teaches English to locals, allowing our students a chance to meet and mix with local Spanish students.

D.E.L.E course: (20 group + 10 private lessons )
DELE is a 6 week course designed to prepare you for one of the 3 levels of the Instituto Cervantes [Inicial (B1: intermediate I), Medio (B2 Intermediate II), Superior (Proficiency)]. We also accept student who require shorter stays depending on their previous knowledge of the language. 20 sessions a week in small groups with 10 sessions a week of preparation specifically for the DELE exam.

Teachers are native speakers and many are University educated with years of teaching experience. Spanish programs are designed for all levels of the language and a lot emphasis is placed upon the speaking ability of the student. In addition to the normal classes, audio and video equipment, songs and local Spanish newspapers are used to promote the many different ways the language can be used.

After classes are over for the day our program allows you plenty of time to discover your new country, culture and customs.

Examples of typical cultural opportunities: "Intercambio" parties, lectures, movies, international meals and visits to local places of interest. The school also organizes and provides information on sports such as golf, tennis, horse-riding, football, volleyball cycling and surfing. The gym next door offers discounted rates to students. Members have access into their sport centers and courses.

Weekend excursions could include: Basque Country's nature reserves, coastal villages, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Pamplona, Madrid and even France.

Host Family: (private room) 2 meals daily
Living with a local host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. Many families live near the school and the commute is usually no more than 10-20 minutes.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room) no meals
Apartments are located about 10-20 minutes from the school and are shared with other students. Apartments are co-ed, however, bedrooms are same-gender. The apartments include a well-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom and living areas. They vary in location, size and number of bedrooms, but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.
