Enjoy a Spanish language course in Spain at our language school in the city of Seville.
Seville certainly is one of the most beloved places by visitors to Spain. Although today Moorish influence is architecturally most evident - Andalusia was occupied by Moors for about 800 years -it has been a cultural center long before.
The fertility of this land and its favored climate with mild winters and about 3000 hours of sun per year (if you have visited it in August, where temperatures can arrive to some 47°C, perhaps you will deny to call it favored) made Phoenicians and Carthaginians settle here. Later came the Romans, two of their emperors, Trajan and Hadrian, in fact were born here.
Seville was also once the home of famous and infamous figures of history, the legendary "Don Juan" started from here to conquer the hearts of women across all Europe, while Columbus started from a port close to Seville to discover a new world.
The school is housed in a beautiful yet typical Sevillian style building with a large central patio area, which is surrounded by Roman columns, very impressive for a language school.
Our programs cater for all language levels from absolute beginners to the more advanced, include the use of course materials and provide a variety of options to enhance your program.
Students can choose 2 optional culture classes a week at no additional cost. These courses are given as talks and conferences and are illustrated by images so that students of all levels can follow them:
Spanish history from Arab times to modern day; History of Art, painting, architecture and sculpture; Spanish cinema, with explanations before the showing; Spanish cuisine, with tasting of the dishes that are prepared in the class, and 'Sevillanas' dance classes as the expression of traditional Andalusian folklore.
For students with a very low level of Spanish we recommend the phonetics and pronunciation classes. Each week students can choose a different option.
The Spanish Ministry of Education and Science Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is available and the DELE exams take place in Seville in May and November.
After classes are over for the day, our program allows you plenty of time to discover your new country, culture and customs.
All Spanish families are chosen after a careful selection procedure and are visited regularly by the school to ensure that high living standards are maintained. As many of our host families live in the surrounding neighborhoods, the trip to school, is usually not more than 20 to 30 minutes away.
Students have access to all living areas in the house and in most cases, will be expected to share the bathroom. All bed linens and pillows will be provided, however we suggest you bring your own towels. If your family does not provide a laundry service, they may allow you to use the laundry facilities for a small additional charge.
All apartments provide a well equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom facilities and living areas. The apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, depending on the location in the city but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.
All apartments are self-catering, which means meals are not included and students provide their own groceries and prepare their own meals or eat out. In many cases the cooking becomes a social event in the apartment and a great way to chat and make new friends. Many students have theme nights, where they take turns to prepare a meal from their home country for the rest of the students.

"Seville was an amazing city and the language program connected me with great people and great things to do during my stay.
The accommodations tend to be a little surprising - the difference between self catered apartments and family stays can often be hard to see, but all in all an excellent experience I would highly recommend."

I had my own room and bathroom for the most part. The other room that my senora rented out was unoccupied for almost my entire visit. It was about twenty minutes away from school by foot but in a nice, safe, family oriented neighborhood."
There are few scheduled international flights, many students fly into Málaga international airport and take the bus to Seville. Seville has good rail links to Barcelona, Cádiz, Córdoba, Jaén, Jerez de la Frontera, Granada, Huelva, Madrid, Málaga, Ronda and Valencia. The fast-track AVE railway line provides a 2h 30min connection to Madrid every hour.
