Vienna is an attractive city known for its cultural and educational institutions. During the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, it was the musical capital of the world and the home of many famous composers, including Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.

Today, Vienna remains a city of strong musical heritage and is home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna State Opera, and the Music Conservatory. It also boasts numerous museums and art galleries, including the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History), and outstanding schools and scientific organizations. Yet Vienna remains a relaxed and remarkably comfortable city.

Host Family: (private room), 2 meals daily
Staying in a family is a truly wonderful experience and many students make lifetime friends with their host family. Living with a host family is probably the best and most effective way to become fully immersed into the language and culture of your chosen country. All families are carefully selected and are visited regularly to ensure that high living standards are maintained.

Students will have their own bedroom but are expected to share all living areas including a bathroom. Bed linens and pillows will be provided, however we suggest you bring your own towels. If your family does not provide a laundry service, they may allow you to use the laundry facilities for a small additional charge.

Self Catering Apartments: (private or shared room)
This is a popular option for those looking for more independence. Our apartments are normally located within the same distance as the host families and are shared (with other international students studying at the school) so will be sharing with many other nationalities. Our apartments are co-ed, however rooms are shared with the same gender.

All apartments have a well-equipped kitchen (including cooking utensils), shared bathroom facilities and living areas. The apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, depending on the location in the city but expect to share with 2 - 4 other students.

Residence: (shared room) 2 meals daily.
The building is located only 10 minutes away by transportation from our school and city centre. Situated in a nice quiet area on the 11th District and very close to the underground metro. This accommodation option is for students who would like to stay in a nice and comfortable establishment close to the city center.

There are 50 beds available in the residence with single or shared rooms. Shared rooms can have 2-5 students in a dorm room with shared kitchen, bathroom, TV and linens provided. Towels are not provided so be sure to bring your own. Rooms are also cleaned twice weekly. Half board meals are included and Lunch is available Sunday through Friday in a restaurant near the school.

"Vienna is a beautiful city with a rich cultural history...It is a great city for a young woman to live in. I feel quite safe and comfortable here. The public transport system is efficient and runs on a regular basis.

For a student without a car it's a wonderful way of getting around town. The classes are small and one can receive the personal attention needed. The teachers are friendly and it's a great way to meet people from all over the world...this was an experience of a lifetime!!!"
Linda, H.
