School Overview & Facilities

We are located in the artsy Prenzlauer Berg district in former East Berlin, which is quickly becoming one of Berlin's trendiest neighborhoods.

Our school has become one of the leading teaching centers for German since it was established in 1983 and is now officially registered with the Berlin Senate. All courses are taught by highly qualified native teachers with university degrees and the school holds on average about 90 international students.

The area is nicknamed casting alley due to frequent fashion and film shootings. The school neighbourhood has over 40 bars, stores, a yoga and dance studio and the Kulturbrauerei, a brewery turned entertainment complex housing cinemas, theaters and cafes.

Our spacious school facility is divided between two buildings with over 20 classrooms, boasting a large garden with a cafeteria serving snacks, sandwiches and more. In the summer the terrace is a perfect place for barbecues or socializing after classes.

The school is situated on a tree-lined campus with houses built in the 19th and 20th century, whose architecture reflects German history. Berlin Prenzlauer Berg was a squalid neighbourhood in the 1900s; however, after WWII it became a haven for artists who opposed the east German communists. After reunification, Prenzlauer Berg boomed, quickly becoming the artsy district of Berlin.
