When choosing your start date, please take a moment to think seriously about your language level and please read this brief overview of other factors you should consider before choosing your program and date:

To enroll in any of our programs, Languages Abroad requires a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the program price and to ensure space on the program, it is important to register as early as possible, especially for summer programs.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING YOUR START DATE:
Please Note: These are fixed programs and there are no changes allowed to the above start dates (these are fixed start dates). SCHOOL CLOSED ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: Please note that our schools will be closed on all local public holidays and lessons will not be made up. If your Monday start date falls on a public holiday, your course will start on the following day. MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND PROGRAM: Minimum age to attend the language explorer program is 18 years old. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DAYS: Plan to arrive in Quito the Sunday before your first Monday start date, your Sunday nights accommodation and some flight transfers are included. At the end of each 4 week program you will depart on the Saturday morning for your next location. Please Note: There are no direct connections between Quito, Cusco and Sucre, either by land or by air. Travelling between the cities will take two full days and involve changes along the way. Here are our suggestions: FROM QUITO TO CUSCO: You can either fly or take a bus from Quito to Lima, Peru. The bus takes 26 hours but can get you into Lima in time for the flight to Cusco. Included in your program cost is a hotel night in Lima and a morning flight to Cusco. FROM CUSCO TO SUCRE: Again you can either fly or take a bus from Cusco to La Paz, Bolivia. However, the bus here takes only 8 hours and makes a nice stop at Lake Titicaca. A hotel stay in La Paz and morning flight to Sucre are included in the program fees. You will be ending your program in Sucre, Bolivia. You can either book a flight that returns home from Sucre or you can plan to book a flight to Quito locally in order to connect with your return flight. AIRPORT PICK UP CITY: Airport pick-up from the Quito airport is included.

Explorer Program: 4 lessons daily (20 lessons per week) Use of teaching materials including textbooks and instructional documents. Placement test on the first Monday at each school location Flights from Lima to Cusco and La Paz to Sucre, transfers to and from the airports. Maximum class size: 6 students Host Family accommodation in private room with 2 meals daily (3 meals in Cusco), PLUS 2 nights hotel accommodation. Cultural and social activities. Language proficiency certificate at end of program upon request. WHATS NOT INCLUDED IN PROGRAM PRICE Airfare, passports, visas or permits, travel and medical insurance, spending money, some optional activities and excursions, travel between school locations.
