DID YOU KNOW: All repeat students receive a 10% discount off any program we offer!
Matt, We just back from Playa Del Carmen from the intensive course their. It was Awesome! We learned so much in such a short time.
The teacher was very nice and very helpful. You guys did a fantastic job in communication and I felt like we were well prepared when we went. It was even better than i expected. I am very glad that we decided to go through languages abroad.
I just can not express to you how much we appreciated your oganization and helpfulness along the way. It was a great experience that I hope we will be able to do again. The only downside was that Playa is really touristy but it was probably the best place for us to go on the first trip.
Thanks for everything and you can bet that i'm going to tell all my friends about what a wonderful company you guys are! Great job!!!! Keep up the great work.
"Guanajuato is a beautiful city and an excellent learning environment. Everyone in the city was very helpful and the school was incredibly accommodating. They were very willing to help with any situation and offered a wide variety of classes and cultural activities. I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish or improving your Spanish. There was a wide variety of classes for everyone from beginner to advanced.
The accommodation location was incredible, centrally located between the school and the town center. The rooms were very nice and the family was extremely accomodating. Languages Abroad service was great.
Future Advice: If you are considering learning Spanish or improving your Spanish do it now. This is a great place to live, learn, and relax."
"It was an incredible experience and I look forward to another one in the near future. Ages were from 16 to 60 and we were all equal, had the same goals!!! I would highly recommend it!"
Sharon, Graham, American student who studied in Havana, CUBA
"I loved the program. The teachers were very dedicated and responsive and I raised my level of Spanish from low intermediate to high intermediate. The group there was predominately Germans with
other Europeans, a couple of Asians and Americans. There were additional guided tours of great interest, excursions and exchanges with other students from other schools, e.g. Cubans who were in Alliance Francaise, Cubans learning German. We also had in formal lunches and dinners together. It was, in short, a great experience."
"I can not say enough good things about the school and the staff. For an American in Cuba I was a little nervous but after a few hours I felt the magic of the Island and its people. Julian was a very professional and comforting guide and also a friend. You guys have a real winner with him. Each day he took time to answer all my questions and we went on nightly excursions and viewed not only the Aspects of the Language program but also the Cuban culture.

Mixing the program with the tours is a great idea it helps you really understand and feel where you are at. My teacher Elizabeth was wonderful she made it not only fun but also very remembering I can not say enough good things about the establishment and the staff."
"An eye opening experience in which I made great friends and wonderful memories."
"Services Provided: Excellent & responsive. Accomodations in Samara were primitive and we felt we had to move to a
hotel. Then we were more comfortable for the next two weeks. General Impression: The school in Costa Rica and the professors and extra programs were excellent.
"I was only able to go for a short time, but those two short weeks will stay with me forever. My language skills improved
greatly, and the people I met along the way and the places I visited were unforgettable. I recommend this experience to everyone."
"Tara enjoyed her Spanish classes and "loved her teachers." She also felt that having only 5 people in a class was very beneficial to her learning. Her host family was very nice and patient. Her 'mamatica' interacted with her frequently. She would recommend the Spanish classes in Heredia, Costa Rica to "someone who wants to meet lots of people and experience new and interesting things."
"I have just arrived back from three weeks in Heredia, Costa Rica. I attended the language school there through your program. It was an amazing experience, both the school and the host family were
fantastic."
"I had a 1 week individual course with Christian and I appreciated it very much. Christian has a very professional attitude and responds to individual needs. I appreciated very much his style of teaching as it is
lively and very motivating. After all I experienced a good mixture between concentrated exercise work, open communication and discussions and - very important- a lot of fun and laughing! Christian
is also always open to give any practical hints regarding where to go in Guadeloupe:-) I had a wonderful time in Guadeloupe and I hope you'll have it too!"
Wiebke, German student who studied in Sainte Anne, GUADELOUPE
"The people at Languages Abroad were great. I was provided with a lot of information, and if I had any problems or
questions it was easy to e-mail someone or call. I had the time of my life! The school was great, the teachers were
awesome and the staff was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone. My host family was great! The location was great as well, I was a 2 minute walk from my school, and a 7 minute walk from central park. It was great!
The school was great, a little expensive, but good. The teachers were so nice and easy going. I really like having a max. of 4 people in a class, it provided an easy learning enviorment. The staff was great, they all knew everyone by name, and were there all the time if we had any problems. DO IT! You will have a blast and make a ton of new friends!
"Truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone. The host family was wonderful! Definitely enhanced the experience. Traveled to Lake Atilan over the weekend and participated with activities offered
by the school. Very enjoyable."
"The approach to studying various difficult verb tenses was very refreshing. We often began by reading a poem or an article, or listening to music that used the tense, then studied how to construct and use it. This made it less tedious."
My host family was extremely hospitable and interested in my stay being a fruitful one. Activities Done: Lectures on indigenous weddings, a trip to visit a farmer and family, a trip to a women's weaving cooperative, and a weekend at a lake. Future Advice: Definitely stay with a host family and take advantage of as many of the cultural activities as possible"
"Language school in Antigua, Guatemala was a wonderful experience! My education was not limited to the classroom...every trip outside of the classroom allowed me to practice my new language and continue learning about the new culture around me. I grew personally as I learned and experienced a new country and culture. It is a truly wonderful experience and if given the opportunity, I think everyone should travel and study abroad"
"My family was terrific. Everyone treated me like I was a part of their family. I couldn't have asked for a better family. Weekend trips included a kayaking excursion; dance lesson; and afternoon beach excursions. Languages Abroad is doing an incredible job. Everyone I worked with (Nida and Christine) was incredibly helpful. I'm sooooooo thankful I found your company!
""The class was small (3 students) enough to make you feel involved and the teachers were very easy to talk with. My accommodation was about 2 minutes from the school, very clean and safe. The host family had 3 kids and 2 other students. The family was very easy to talk with and we had free access to their house. I really enjoyed the Mexican way of life"!
"My experience in Merida gave me what I needed to learn the language to a greater degree in that one month than in the 2 years I have studied Spanish in college"
"Cancun was a great learning experience - you get the best of both worlds (America/Mexico). When I tell people I went to Cancun for a Spanish language program, they can't imagine it being an environment to learn since it is a popular resort. Yes that is true but there are a lot of Mexicans who can not speak English in Cancun. You will definitely encounter situations where you are forced to communicate in Spanish. Also, the beaches in Cancun are so beautiful and relaxing.
The people are friendly and willing to help you with your Spanish, especially the Mexicans who work in the tourists section because they are eager to learn English, as well as, you are to learn their language.
"Living with my host family was great. I learned a lot talking with them. I was there for Christmas, and took part in the Christmas Eve activities. At the same time, I had as much freedom to come and go
as I wanted. Activities Done: pottery class, conversation tours to artesian villages and to Monte Alban, a historical site. Future Advice: Try it. My Spanish was from high school 30 years ago, and I still had a good time and learned a lot. You do not need to be fluent to go and study abroad."
"Try not to speak English. Make every effort to only speak the language you're studying. I was in ceramics class 4 days a week. It was lots of fun. I had an intercambio. We were good friends. I went on a tour organized by the institute to a Zapotec ruin site."
"The facilities were beautiful, the teachers excellent; I enjoyed my experience and wish I could have stayed longer!"
"Darcy's instruction was one on one and her teacher was wonderful, caring, and professional. The staff at the school were friendly and helpful in the planning of excursions and activities. Darcy stayed in the school's guest house which was clean and decorated nicely. She would recommend our school in Guadalajara to individuals who are serious about learning a language. You must also be able to adapt to
different circumstances and cultures."
"It was definitely a very eye opening experience, and a real lesson in how important learning other languages is. I did learn a lot in my classes, but I learned much more just by traveling around the city
and meeting new people. It was amazing. I felt like I was a part of the family, and that all of them tried their best to give me an opportunity to experience their culture, and that everyone genuinely wanted me
to have a wonderful time.
I went on the city tour of Merida, and to the pyramids at Uxmal, Chichen Itza, and Dzibichaltun. Future Advice: DO IT!!! It's an absolutely amazing experience that you'll not only remember for the rest of your life, but that you'll draw from as well."
"The class was very well structured and well suited for one on one instruction. My teacher Rosario was very patient with me as a student who didn't always do as much studying as I should have. I think she did a wonderful job. It has been a wonderful experience and I shall recommend it to my friends."
"Puerto Rico offered a great way to immerse oneself in a different culture, while still having the same comfort as any place within the United States. I really enjoyed the hospitality of the Puerto Rican
people, as well as the beautiful beaches and coral reefs that surround the island. We went to the Bacardi Rum plant in Puerto Rico for a tour also out to eat on the town. We also had an unofficial "school
event" where one of our instructors had a birthday party at his house and many of the students went to his party; it was really nice to enjoy an evening with the locals."
"The woman I lived with made me feel completely welcome and took me many places. She spoke to me only in Spanish and made an effort to share her life and language with me."
"The experience was great. I made a lot of new friends, Cubans and Europeans! The program was perfect for my needs and it really improved my Spanish. Teachers, directors, everybody was really nice
and accommodating...I would do it anytime again. Havana is a very special place, like no where else in the world, it's magical."
"Havana is a wonderful city and the quality of the Spanish instruction was excellent."
"Good program and very nice hotel accommodation. Bring some books of your own (i.e. dictionary etc.)"
