The United Arab Emirates, located in Southwest Asia, is made up of seven different states, their capital being the city of Abu Dhabi. The federation’s huge coastline by the Persian Gulf is made up of large salt pans, while sand dunes lie to the south and west of Abu Dhabi. Villages have been established in the natural oasis, where exotic tree species can also be found. The stunning Al Hajar Mountains lie in the east of the UAE. If you’re looking for hot, dry weather, most of the UAE won’t disappoint: average maximum temperatures climb above 48 °C during summer.


The UAE has a multicultural society, and both Abu Dhabi and Dubai are flourishing art centers. Sport is also popular there, particularly football and cricket. This culturally-rich, fascinating country with its hot climate is a perfect place at which to learn its official language, Arabic.
