Accommodation Options

Living with a local host family is the most effective way to become fully immersed in the language and culture. All families are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure quality standards. We choose only quality families who have a genuine interest in international exchange. Many families live near the school, however, as Berlin is a large city, the commute can be up to 50 minutes. Students must choose at time of registration if they would like to have dinner with their host family or on campus.

You have a single room in an apartment you share with one or more Germans and prepare your own meals. Your roommates will be between 20 - 50 years old, university students or professionals. Often you develop close contacts with the Germans in your apartment. This is great for practicing your German. Apartments are also located up to 50 minutes away from the school.

Our school offers 50 self-contained residence rooms located right on the school campus. Rooms are two story lofts with living space on the 1st floor and bedroom on the 2nd. They come equipped with a small kitchen, private bath, internet access, phone and TV. Linens and towels are provided. Breakfast is served daily in the school cafeteria (8am until 10am).
