Is the constitutional capital of Bolivia and is home to about 247,000 people. The geography of the city is quite spectacular. Located in the south-central part of Bolivia, the city lies at a relatively high altitude of 2750 meters (9,000 ft) in the Andes mountains which provide a mild and cool climate year-round. A city with Spanish and Catholic influence, its narrow streets are lined with numerous colonial-style buildings, churches, convents and chapels. In addition, many of the city’s buildings are painted white and tiled with red roofs.
