While there are large inequalities of wealth Salvador it is incredibly welcoming to foreigners and it's population are considered some of the friendliest people in the world. Few places could be friendlier than Salvador and it's been proven that it's much easier to speak Portuguese when you're smiling!

The school is conveniently located near the Barra neighbourhood, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Salvador. The school is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and several beaches with amazing afternoon sunsets.

Portuguese Courses
Program Basics
- Open to all language levels
- Placement test before beginning of course
- Maximum 7 students per class
- One lesson is a minimum of 55 minutes
- Flexible course length
- Language proficiency certificate at end of program upon request

- 20 group lessons per week (4 lessons daily)
- Courses held Monday - Friday

Combined Program
- 20 group lessons PLUS
- 10 private lessons per week

Alternative Classes & Courses
The following courses can only be booked in addition to a regular course. Some knowledge of Portuguese is required.
- Cooking classes
- Surfing - one or two full days (weekends)
- Volunteering - students must be enrolled in a 4 week+ language program

Host Families
Our host families within walking distance from the school. Staying with a host family will allow you to experience the Bahian way of life first-hand.

Self-Catering Apartment
Our apartments are located in a student residence 15 minutes away from the school. There is an en-suite bathroom, a fan or air-conditioning and WiFi. Kitchen and laundry facilities are shared.

After Class Activities in Salvador de Bahia
Our program allows you plenty of time to discover your new country, culture, traditions, and everyday life after your class is over. Optional activities could include: workshops in local music, food, dance and Capoeira. Play soccer with the locals or go see a professional game, even learn to surf or scuba dive!
